About Seika
I started making jewelry in October of 2013. It was a ten minute lesson with others who only wanted to spend some time together and to make a piece of jewelry by themselves. I continued to make jewelry for friends and people I knew. A year later, I was still enjoying the process of making earrings. So I decide to make a page on Facebook to have record of all the different designs.
Meaning behind Seika
The name Seika is a nickname from a friend in Europe. The meaning is “Pure beauty/ summer love” in Japanese. It is a fitting name because of the colors used in the main themes of the jewelry and the love you will feel wearing it.
Charitable Cause
In the first year making earrings, I had the opportunity to support a worthy cause. I made 50 various pairs of earrings and delivered them to a friend who was helping with a fundraiser. The cause was for mental health awareness, and the name of the company was Mind, located in the city of Newton Aycliffe, England. I was pleased to hear all 50 pairs sold and the fundraiser was a success.
